Fujitsu hires storage expert to target enterprise channel
John Stadden will lead Fujitsu’s enterprise storage business in the Middle East.

Fujitsu is looking to John Stadden to spearhead a stronger push into the data storage sector after appointing him as director of sales and business development for storage solutions.

The company claims it is increasing the size of its local storage team as it bids to help enterprises manage their storage requirements.

Stadden has a comprehensive understanding of the regional storage channel having served in a number of roles with some of the largest providers in the business.

He most recently worked as technical director for BIOS Middle East, where he was responsible for creating turnkey solutions involving server virtualisation, storage consolidation and business continuity solutions, and prior to that he held a number of pre-sales and technical management posts at EMC. Stadden has also worked for Sun, GBM and IBM.

In his new role, Fujitsu says Stadden will work with customers and enterprise channel partners to help achieve more cost-effective and reliable ways to save, manage and protect critical business data.

"As a solution provider, Fujitsu in addition to our own fast-growing line of storage options, brings in expertise spanning across our global technology alliance partners, enabling us to offer customers a better choice," said Farid Al Sabbagh, managing director for the Middle East at Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

"John has two decades of experience in advising customers with highly diverse business challenges and IT environments, and his understanding of how to develop robust and affordable information management strategies make him an important resource for Fujitsu's clients in the Middle East," he added.
