Xerox says their new Colour 550/560 printers are perfect for small business applications.

Xerox has introduced a new entry-level light production colour printer, which the company says is adaptable for any print environment and gives users more flexibility and freedom to produce a wide range of applications in color and black and white.

The new Xerox Colour 550/560 printer has an easy-to-use color touch screen and is an efficient choice for small businesses such as quick print shops, small commercial printers and creative shops and offices.

"We've taken the most sought-after elements of digital printing and built a solution that can integrate into any print environment," said Dan Smith, general manager for Integrated Marketing, Xerox, MEA (DMO). "The Xerox Color 550/560 is perfect for the print service provider responding quickly to high-value application demands or the office professional requiring security and workflow features to manage documents more efficiently."

The 550 printer works at 50 color pages per minute (ppm) or 55 ppm in black and white; and on the Xerox Color 560 at 60 color ppm or 65 ppm in black and white.

Xerox Color 550/560 features include a low-melt emulsion aggregation toner to produce an offset-like finish with crisp text and high resolution graphics plus 2,400 x 2,400 dpi printing and in-line finishing options including stapling, hole-punching, folding and booklet making on uncoated and coated media.

For use in the office, the printers can scan, copy and fax at high speed in both color and black and white and drive maximum productivity by letting multiple users perform different tasks simultaneously.
