Yahoo! Middle East revamps its women’s portal
Yahoo! Middle East has revealed their revamped websites, Helwa, Under 20 and Abrai.

Yahoo! Middle East has fully redesigned its women's portal, including Helwa, Under 20 and Abrai. The company has also revamped the Alfrasha and Arb3 forums.

Yahoo! Middle East says that the new changes make the websites more accessible, navigable and help provide more diverse content for all age groups.

The main Helwa site now features brand new sections catering to men, teenagers, weddings, beauty, health, cooking, celebrities and horoscopes. Designers have also incorporated a chat function so that users can interact directly with one another.

All the new-look websites, including Under 20 and Abrai, will be accessible through the main Helwa site www.helwa.maktoob.com.

"Yahoo! Maktoob users from all walks of life can expect more streamlined content on all Yahoo!'s portals. The Helwa women's channel has proven to be one of our website's most popular destinations for news, health and family tips, fashion and beauty reviews and much more. This is just the first step in what will be a fully refreshed and user-driven browsing experience across our product offerings in the future," said Ahmed Nassef, vice president and managing director of Yahoo! Middle East.

According to Yahoo! Middle East, this year Maktoob has reached seven million unique users per month aged between 20 and 29 on its women's portal. The majority of new users hail from Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
