EMW joins forces with MobileIron
The companies have joined into an agreement to enhance their management of smartphones
Full service solutions supplier EMW, has partnered up with enterprise networking vendor MobileIron to sell the company's Virtual Smartphone Platform to EMW customers in the Middle East.
This platform allows companies access to what the user is doing on a smartphone and how the owner is using it, enabling businesses to manage their users smartphones, even for end-user owned devices. The solution is intended to allow IT departments tot secure data and control costs, without compromising privacy.
"We have been receiving a lot of enquiries from customers in the Middle East asking us to provide an integrated solution that is mobile device agnostic and provides advanced management to their smartphone data, applications and access on their Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Android. MobileIron's Virtual Smartphone Platform provides just that. After an extensive search for the most qualified and capable partner that can deliver our solution to customers, we chose EMW primarily for their mobile technology expertise and exceptional customer service, in addition to the capable technical staff that constitutes 80% of their workforce," said Kees van Veenendaal, GM & VP Sales EMEA, MobileIron.
The Virtual Smartphone is easy to use, plugging into the corporate network and is ready to use within a day. According to EMW, the platform lets companies get smartphone operations under control quickly and cuts wireless bills by up to 20%.
