GET better protection for passports
In an age of burgeoning identity fraud, the security of passports and ID cards is under the spotlight more than ever.
In an age of burgeoning identity fraud, the security of passports and ID cards is under the spotlight more than ever. Independent software vendor and systems integration specialist GET Group are touting the value of their secure document printing services as the solution to this problem at this year’s GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
One of the company’s two major areas of focus, secure document printing facilitates IDs, customers valuations and e-payments as well as a number of Adobe-based solutions. GET also offers tailored IT packages, again with a strong security focus.
Fadi Awaida, Business Development and Marketing Director explains that adherence to a number of international standards set by major governments gives the company the credibility required in such a security-conscious field.
“99.9% of our clients are governments, so they demand certain standards,” he says. “We have also just received CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level Three certification – which is an international quality management certification – and we are in the process of getting Level Four,” explains Awaida.
GET have been printing UAE passports for the past 15 years and recently won a tender to work with the Qatar government on the country’s national ID and residency card project.
Awaida says that GET Group has branding and public relations, rather than commercial goals in its sights at GITEX this year. “We’re here to connect with both old and new customers and to show off our presence.”
