Sharp builds big video wall
Sharp has unveiled the world’s largest 360-inch video wall at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK
SHARP HAS unveiled the world's largest 360-inch video wall at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK. The company has built the wall using its slim bezel displays, which reportedly have the world's slimmest bezel - the dividing frame between two monitors - at just 6.5 mm thick.
"Sharp's pioneering advances in LCD technology will be demonstrated in this video wall, which will dwarf all other displays of the past," says Fumio Yamaguchi, Managing Director at Sharp Middle East. "We are pleased to unveil it at GITEX, the region's biggest IT fair.
The 360-inch video wall, made up of the new PN-V601 professional LCD panels, will dominate Sharp's 180 square metre stand.
According to Sharp, the video wall will project undistorted images, as the slim bezel ensures that there are not thick black lines between the different screens in the video wall. Similar video walls with the ultra-slim bezels were unveiled earlier this year in Japan, Europe and the US, but the GITEX demonstration represents the largest yet.
"Because of the ultra-slim bezels, the viewer gets a near-perfect, fuller image, enhanced further by our advanced LCD technology incorporated in the PN-V601 professional panels," says Yamaguchi. "We anticipate wide applications in retail and commercial segments where large displays are required."
