Du signs pact with Juniper Networks
Juniper’s UAC solution enables du to secure its network and enhance efficiency
The UAE’s second telco, Du, has selected Juniper Networks’ Unified Access Control (UAC) solution to secure its entire corporate infrastructure.
Based on open-standard technology, Juniper Networks’ UAC solution integrates seamlessly with existing enterprise network infrastructure, components, and software to reduce deployment complexity and cost while increasing operational efficiencies. Du is one of the first telecom service providers in the Middle East to deploy a UAC solution throughout its key office sites, remote offices, and retail stores.
Walid Kamal, senior vice president, technology security and risk management, Du, said: “We needed a comprehensive solution to mitigate the risk of an incident or outage resulting from unauthorised access by mobile devices, or use of network resources by non-standard or infected systems.
“Juniper’s UAC solution enables us to increase the operational efficiency of our users while transparently and seamlessly securing enterprise resources, applications, and data,” added Kamal.
Ravi Mali, operating area leader for service provider business-Middle East and Africa, said: “Accessing the network from any device, anywhere, and any time is now a commercial imperative. This means a comprehensive, easy-to-manage network solution allows service providers to take the next step in evolving their new network, securing vital corporate assets from unwanted external threats.”
Du currently serves over 3.9 million active subscribers in the UAE.
