Infrastructure optimisation consultants join Gree Grid consortium to work on ICT energy efficiency

Intergence joins Green Grid
Membership of the Green Grid will help drive Intergence' energy efficiency services.

Network and IT optimisation specialist Intergence Systems has enhanced its green credentials, through joining ‘The Green Grid' consortium.

The consortium focuses on developing industry best practice, metrics and technologies related to data centre energy efficiency, and as a general member, Intergence, and its R&D subsidiary Intergence Optimisation will be able to align its green strategies with the consortium and add its own efforts.

Intergence has already developed a range of software and services to help clients to monitor and reduce their ICT-driven power consumption.

Peter Job, CEO of Intergence Systems, commented:  "The Green Grid offers a vibrant and credible source of research and thought leadership. Companies that have ambitions to develop business opportunities in green IT, such as ourselves, need to be aware of the latest techniques and technologies to guide their own developments. Our software is ideally suited to help optimise both data centre and IP network infrastructure. We are now keen to make sure we align our analytical and reporting standards to those emerging from The Green Grid consortium.
