Aptec targets channel with new security vendor

Distributor aiming for traction in the corporate sector with latest addition to portfolio

Aptec targets channel with new security vendor
Aptec’s Govind Haridas expects the addition of APSEC to its portfolio to help it target the SME and enterprise security channels.

Aptec Holdings has strengthened its security offering by striking an exclusive distribution agreement with Germany-based Applied Security (APSEC).

APSEC, which specialises in PKI solutions, encryption and digital signature software, has awarded Aptec the rights to market its products throughout MENA, Turkey and Pakistan.

The security vendor has been present in the Middle East for three years now and Andreas Schuster, sales manager for EMEA and head of its Dubai-based Middle East branch, said: "The Middle East market is now looking to secure its internal processes and protect sensitive data and we believe that Aptec, with its unique and broad channel network, will be the right partner in our latest thrust to scale the business and serve more clients in the region."

Aptec believes its new vendor partner's security solutions will carry weight in the SMB and enterprise markets as it claims it can offer prices that make it a compelling proposition compared to other competitors.

"In the current market conditions where the CIO and the IT manager are trying to extract the maximum value for money, APSEC is an ideal fit," said Govind Haridas, business unit manager at Aptec Distribution.

"This is testified by the various enterprise banks and government institutions in the Middle East region that have adopted and implemented APSEC solutions successfully. APSEC also complements quite a few other vendor offerings currently in our product portfolio."
