D-Link launches sales promotion for channel staff
Vendor offers financial incentives to push Ethernet range in the Middle East
Networking products vendor D-Link has launched a special promotion targeting sales staff working for retail partners and resellers in the Middle East.
The promotion, which is designed to encourage the sale of D-Link's energy-saving Ethernet switch series, opened last week and will run until the end of September.
Sales staff will receive a monetary reward based on the quantity of products they are able to sell over the next three months.
Retailers and resellers must register on D-Link's channel partner portal to be eligible for the promotion, with points being accredited to each member's partner portal account.
D-Link has been selling its Ethernet switch series in the MEA region for the past two years, but is now actively pushing sales of what it calls its ‘green product' series. In addition to the switches - which it claims offer energy savings of up to 70% depending on the environment - the company's portfolio includes routers, IP cameras and NAS devices.
Harrison Albert, regional sales director for D-Link MEA, says the company decided to target the promotion at channel sales staff because they directly influence the end-customer.
He said: "This promotion helps us to address two of our main objectives, the first one being the enhancement of the perception of our environmentally-friendly line of networking products, and the second objective being the betterment of our relationship with our partners to raise their motivation through the help of an appropriate reward programme."
