Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt rolls out Cerner HIS
Cerner healthcare information solution improves processed and safety for Egyptian paediatric hospital
The Children's Cancer Hospital, Egypt 57357 (CCHE) has gone live with a new healthcare information technology solution from Cerner Corporation.
The system is serving 700 clinicians and staff at the hospital, and managing records of estimated 1,500 new paediatric cancer patients each year.
The healthcare system reduces medical errors, improves medication safety and improve access to information for personnel at the hospital.
"The unified electronic health record provides doctors and nurses with real-time patient information and access to evidence-based protocols designed to improve clinician knowledge and prevent medical errors," said Dr Sherif Abouelnaga, vice president academic affairs, research, and outreach of CCHE. "This access to best practices and clinical guidelines ensures the latest medical information is at the clinician's fingertips, allowing them to make informed decisions about patient care."
