Logicom lands Adobe distribution rights
Appointment follows review of software vendor’s regional channel model
IT distributor Logicom has taken on a distribution contract with Adobe which covers the Middle East and North Africa.
The Cyprus-based outfit, which has offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Levant, will support the full range of Adobe products to ensure availability for business users and retail outlets.
"The Middle East's appetite for technology investment continues to grow and provides opportunities for IT companies in the region," said Nicholas Argyrides, general manager at Logicom. "Logicom is delighted to join the Adobe network as an authorised distributor, adding another global brand to our portfolio."
Logicom already carries a number of software products from vendors including Microsoft and Trend Micro in the Middle East.
Adobe's decision to bring Logicom on board to a distribution line-up that has traditionally contained Grapheast and Aptec follows an evaluation of its channel strategy in the region, according to the vendor's Middle East general manager, Abdallah Saqqa.
"During the past year, we have been carefully reviewing our distribution strategy to ensure that we understand the needs of channel partners and customers, and have the ability to deliver products efficiently and effectively across the Middle East and North Africa," explained Saqqa.
He added: "Given the breadth and diversity of the market, we need to be confident that the right channels are in place to make Adobe software and support available to everyone who can benefit from its functionality."
