Toshiba out to build brand trust with PC guarantee
Vendor offers complimentary repair and replacement cover on new laptop purchases
Toshiba is offering free insurance coverage to Middle East customers who buy its notebooks during the next two months, protecting them from issues such as laptop theft or damage.
The company is pledging to repair any new laptop that is accidentally damaged and will replace machines that are stolen if the theft has been reported to the police.
As part of a promotion dubbed ‘The Perfection Promise', Toshiba will also refund or replace any purchase that a customer is unhappy with, provided it is returned within 14 days. Furthermore, it has vowed to "give money back" to the customer in the case of unemployment within one year of purchase.
The complimentary offer is valid on all purchases of fully-paid Toshiba laptops between now and May 15th in the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
"The concept is built on the trust that consumers place on Toshiba," said Santosh Varghese, regional general manager of the company's computer systems division. "‘The Perfection Promise' is an opportunity to return that trust committed to us. More than quality and value for money, the consumer's peace of mind was kept a top priority in conceiving this unrivalled product."
The launch of the promotion in the Middle East comes after a similar initiative was rolled out in Europe last year, which Toshiba claims saw "immense success" in adding customer confidence towards its brand.
Customers need to register within seven days of the date of purchase to validate the guarantee.
