Redington holds sales sessions for Saudi VARs
Redington took VARs through business and technical tracks at recent conferences in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Redington has put more than 250 sales and technical professionals through their paces during separate partner conferences in Riyadh and Jeddah.

‘The Power To Do More' events were divided into two tracks - business and technical - with a focus on solutions from HP ProCurve, Trend Micro, Avaya and Molex, which are all distributed by the company's value division.

"Given the extensive ICT developments in Saudi, our goal is to maximise the opportunities available in this market through more intensive awareness drives for the brands we carry," explained Ramkumar B, general manager of Redington's value business.

"In addition to road shows such as the ones we have recently staged, we have strengthened our presence in KSA by adding more sales and technical talent on ground," he said.

At the conferences, Redington executives outlined the value proposition, products and programmes that VARs can use to strengthen their position in the market and advised pre-sales and technical personnel how to develop new business.

Saudi Arabia is thought to account for more than 10% of the billion dollars in annual revenue that Redington derives from the Middle East and Africa.
