Networking vendor claims new programme increases consulting opportunities for partners
Blue Coat partners will now have the opportunity to increase their service attach rates and margins by delivering professional services via a new programme that the vendor has conceived.
The BlueTouch Professional Services Partner (BTPSP) Programme provides an additional set of tools, certification and training to what partners get from its existing support programme to help them develop consultative relationships with customers.
The dual-level scheme allows certified resellers to provide a variety of professional services, including network design, installation and configuration, testing and migration, and management and monitoring.
There is also a chance of certified partners participating as sub-contractors to Blue Coat in professional services engagements that it manages.
"With the new Professional Services Partner designation, Blue Coat has created an offering that enables partners to increase service attach rates and margins while building more strategic relationships with their customers," said Jim Harold, VP worldwide channel sales at Blue Coat.
"Empowering our partners to sell and support Blue Coat deployments is the cornerstone of the Channel Advantage Programme. By aligning our partner skills with customer requirements everyone wins," he said.
Blue Coat, which specialises in providing application delivery network infrastructure to enterprises, says the BTPSP programme is open to all Premium and Elite members of its channel partner programme.
