Hashim believes SMBs need the critical edge that reliable and high-speed internet provides in order to stay competitive in today's business climate.

Etisalat recently introduced two new high-speed broadband packages for its SMB customers, bringing the telco's BusinessOne portfolio to eight strong.

8 and 16 MB broadband options are now available and come with a variety of features - Norton antivirus and firewall security, multiple personalised email accounts and a web presence as customers also have the option of getting their own domain name hosted by Etisalat.

"In the business environment that exists today, companies need that critical edge afforded by a reliable high speed broadband package to remain competitive and enhance productivity of their employees. This is where Etisalat's new 8 & 16 Mb packages can play a part in helping companies with access to a reliable & high speed broadband service with several value added services," stated Abdulla Hashim, senior VP, Business Solutions at Etisalat.

"This is also in line with Etisalat's overall objective of raising the standards of broadband infrastructure in UAE by providing universal access to a world class high speed broadband network," Hashim added.
