Outlines is targeting both consumers and professional users with a broad range of Macs, iPods and Apple-related products.

The Apple retail market in the UAE has gained some extra competition in the shape of a new entity targeting a mixture of consumers and commercial customers.

Dubai-based Outlines, which dubs itself as an ‘IT solution provider', recently launched its first showroom combining the latest Apple products with a variety of other gift items.

The company claims to have created a "new retail category" by launching an outlet that blends traditional off-the-shelf sales with solutions and technical support for customers desiring the latest technology, telecommunications and gadgets.

Outlines' maiden store is located in Dubai's TECOM free zone and will primarily target professional customers that work in the surrounding area.

Paul Santos, manager of Outlines, says that while the store features many products for professional use, it has a wide enough range to tempt both enterprises and individuals.

"We are confident that our customers will enjoy this new retail experience and will benefit from the quality of products as well as the advisory services of our sales staff," he said.

Outlines says it will source its stock from GraphiTech, an Apple authorised reseller and service provider that belongs to the Adel Bin Faris Group.

"Because technology is ever developing and constantly upgraded, we [are making] sure that we bring the latest in the ICT market, be they gift items, laptops, or the smallest tools like mobile adapters," said Santos. "By creating a dedicated specialist format we will satisfy customers' need in a more appealing way."
