Salah: In the current environment customers want cost-effective and holistic solutions.

IT distributor Aptec Holdings is taking to the road to give Kuwaiti resellers the lowdown on the latest Symantec security offerings in the market.

The one-day seminar, to be held at Kuwait's Le Meridien hotel next Tuesday, aims to provide resellers with a greater understanding of the vendor's Backup Exec System Recovery 2010 suite, which is aimed at small businesses.

"The current market conditions demand that we give the customer a very cost-effective and holistic solution," said Bahaa Salah, managing director at Aptec Distribution. "This not just in the case of small businesses, but the enterprise customer."

He added. "Symantec with its end-to-end offering has solutions tailored to address the various segments. We believe that through this seminar we will be able to disseminate the right training so as to enable our partners to position these solution offerings effectively in the marketplace."

Aptec says the event will give resellers the chance to learn how the software provides SMBs with protection to easily recover what they need. It will also demonstrate how the suite supports the latest Microsoft operating systems and the virtual environments of VMware, MS Hyper-V and Citrix."

Aptec will be joined by representatives from Symantec at the seminar, with the vendor set to announce special incentives and promising to reward each person attending with 10,000 air miles.

"We see this training as an opportunity to further strengthen our ties with our resellers based out of Kuwait," said Saurabh Arora, manager of small and medium business MENA at Symantec.
