Digico selects Oracle Retail for Blink business
Telecom retailer Digico to deploy Oracle solutions to manage Blink brand stores in Saudi
Telecom retailer Digico has selected a range of Oracle solutions to help run its operations in Saudi Arabia.
The start-up, which is owned by Saudi Inteltec, and operates 25 Blink brand stores across the Kingdom, will deploy a number of Oracle Retail, E-Business and Oracle Siebel applications to help it gain insight into its customers and serve them better, while growing its business in the region.
Oracle partner SkillNet will carry out a two-phase implementation strategy for the project, with completion expected early next year.
Digico will use Oracle Retail applications for Point-of-Service, Central Office and Back Office to manage operations across all of its stores and to manage the customer experience.
For central operations, Oracle E-Business modules will govern areas including financials, inventory, purchasing and HR to give a solid business architecture with a holistic view of operations. The company will also deploy Oracle's Siebel Loyalty Management application, to create customer loyalty programs and give a tailored service to customers, to help distinguish itself in the competitive telecom retail market.
"We selected Oracle based on its rapid deployment model and proven capabilities to support organisations with long-term expansion strategies," said Osman Oueida, CEO, Digico. "The Oracle applications will help us to more effectively identify customer behaviour and use that intelligence to offer a greater value proposition to our customers."
Patrick Bohannon, vice president, Solutions Specialist, Oracle Retail added: "Digico is seeking to move ahead of the curve in driving innovative ways to create value, enhance business performance and create a loyal and growing customer base. We are pleased to help Digico to strengthen their market position by achieving greater customer insight and providing superior service within their stores."
Digico is a main distributor for Zain, Samsung Mobiles and Atheeb services.
