Emitac buddies up with financial software firm
Reseller claims deal will help it meet demand for document processing solutions
Emitac Enterprise Solutions has expanded its portfolio by striking a resale agreement with BancTec, a provider of advanced document and payment processing services.
The partnership licenses Dubai-based Emitac to sell BancTec solutions in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The agreement covers distribution of BancTec's IntelliScan and E-Series high-speed document scanning and sorting transports.
Darren Riley, sales manager for EMEA emerging markets at BancTec, believes the combination of Emitac's infrastructure services skills and broad customer base will go a long way to helping it gain a stronger foothold in the region.
"Emitac's depth of experience providing document management and scanning solutions, and our enterprise-scale hardware, will fill a need for many large organisations," he added.
Mohammad Abbas, business unit head of software technologies at Emitac Enterprise Solutions, insists BancTec has a strong record of helping companies improve the efficiency of their document and payment processing operations.
"In this region there is a strong demand for well-established and proven technology solutions, and this partnership with BancTec will enable us to enable organisations seeking to enhance their document processing and management operations," said Abbas.
US-based BancTec is keen to expand its coverage of fast-growing territories in EMEA. Its tie-up with Emitac mirrors a recent alliance it formed with Moscow-based Pirit to target the Russian and CIS markets.
