Aastra delivers business communications message
Range of business communications solutions from Aastra on show at GITEX
Business communications specialist Aastra Technologies is showing a wide range of IP telephony, call centers, video conferencing and fixed and wireless phones at GITEX.
The company, which bought Ericsson's enterprise business in 2008, is one of the market leaders in VoIP technology, and is presenting its solutions alongside premium sales partner KKE.
Aastra's product range includes solutions for SMB and enterprise, along with consumers too. Peter Hofman, President of Aastra Telecom Middle East comments: "We believe that Gitex is a great opportunity for the IT and Telecom vendors to equally reach the consumers, the small & medium businesses and the enterprise customers. It is the only event of that scale and reach in the region."
Among the highlights of Aastra's presence at GITEX are demonstrations of the company's award-winning Hi-Q audio technology, with enhanced audio performance and voice clarity, and the launch of a next generation communication solution targeted at small businesses.
The company recently announced improved results for the third quarter 2009, with net income at $9.6 million, up 269% from $2.6 million in Q3 2008 and up 74.5% from $5.5 million in the second quarter of this year. Sales also increased from Q2 to Q3, up to $198.7 million from $197.2 million.
"Given our confidence in our financial strength, we are pleased to be able to return profits to our shareholders in the form of a quarterly dividend while satisfying our capital requirements and continuing with our long-term business strategy", said Francis N. Shen, Chairman and Co-CEO of Aastra.
