Almoayyed Computers has inked a deal with the Bahrain eGovernment Authority to streamline the electronic integration of the public sector.

The tie-up is part of the Bahrain government’s agreement with Cisco to establish a world-class ICT infrastructure. “This groundbreaking agreement will give government departments access to best-in-class ICT solutions at competitive prices,” says Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive Officer, Bahrain e-Government Authority.

“Through this partnership with Cisco, Almoayyed Computers and local partners, we’ll be able to achieve our goal of having a fully integrated public sector by creating a transparent and economical ‘preferred supplier system’ while reducing project turnaround time,” he continues. “This will also allow us to proceed with our plans for infrastructure expansion while benefiting from cost and time efficiencies.”

Almoayyed and Cisco will be focusing on ensuring speed-to-market of various government services, better information management, and optimisation of investment already made into IT infrastructure. The three-year agreement is designed to help the government to achieve tangible value propositions and guarantee business continuity.

“We’re honoured to partner with the Bahrain government, which has become a role model for other countries in the GCC by embracing technology in a big way,” says S.M. Hussaini, General Manager at Almoayyed.

The end-to-end consultancy and implementation should eventually help the various government entities to have a robust and scalable ICT infrastructure.
