NEC is displaying some of the latest solutions that it says will enable partners and customers to maximise their return on investments with ICT implementations.

Better enterprise communications, a more dynamic IT infrastructure and consulting services that mobilise business intelligence are part of the solutions on show that NEC says can help businesses to adapt and succeed.

NEC Philips Unified Solutions division will introduce a range of communications products designed to boost the effectiveness of enterprises.

The new Univerge SV8500 communication server builds on NEC’s Univerge 360 approach to put people rather than technology at the centre of business communications. It streamlines operations and maintenance of a company’s network, reducing operating costs.

NEC says that the system can accommodate existing systems such as SV7000 or NEAX 2400 helping to protect investments and provide existing customers with a path to full IP. Also on show at this year’s GULFCOMMS is a full IP version of the Business Connect suite, an all-in-one communication solution that fulfils the needs of call centre agents, operators and office employees, as well as latest developments in IP DECT Business Mobility.

Meanwhile, more products and solutions will be demonstrated by NEC Computers, with a focus on infrastructure solutions, servers and storage, and is pursuing its desktop development strategy around virtualisation technology, making the virtualised desktop cheaper to run and easier to manage than a traditional PC.
