Another vendor joins the burgeoning enterprise community in the Middle East with the introduction of Zimbra at this year's GITEX Technology Week.

Opennet Middle East and Africa, which is the authorised distributor for Red Hat and Zimbra products in the Middle East and North Africa, will be taking the wraps off the firm at the show this year and introducing it to both existing partners and customers. Zimbra, part of the well-known Yahoo! group of companies, is a provider of open-source server software for e-mail and collaboration and provides a set of end-user and administrator benefits that make it a flexible solution for deployments of all sizes, from small-to-medium enterprises to multi-thousand user enterprises. This year is the first time that Zimbra has been present at GITEX in any capacity.

At the show, Zimbra is launching the sixth version of its Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) for the first time in the region. The most significant upgrade to the Zimbra software to date, ZCS 6.0 further extends its open Zimlet platform to third-party developers and improves enterprise collaboration through a host of new community-driven features such as expanded calendaring, sharing and enhanced mobile support - ideal enhancements for Zimbra's business, service provider, education and open source customers.

Opennet MEA will also promote the latest RHEL 5.4 from Red Hat along with new middleware offerings from JBoss. Opennet offers full services and support for Red Hat from training and certification to local call centre support.
