AMD bulks up with regional channel hires
Executives with experience of Middle East PC channel handed senior sales roles at CPU vendor
AMD appears to have shored up its regional channel team under the stewardship of Gaith Kadir after confirming the appointment of three new sales executives over the last few months.
One of the key appointments to be noted by partners is Rami Al Saleh, who recently came on board as channel sales manager for the Middle East and Africa. He is responsible for sales strategy and planning in the MENA region.
Al Saleh knows the Middle East PC channel inside-out having spent the last 10 years at Microsoft Gulf's OEM division. His role at AMD also involves strengthening relationships with ecosystem partners and distributors.
Joining Al Saleh at AMD is ex-Fujitsu Siemens enterprise chief Fadi Helou, who has been appointed business development manager for the MENA region.
Helou, who is managing AMD's enterprise relationships in the region, is part of a revised business development team that also includes ex-Epson sales head Zaid Ghattas.
Ghattas' role involves developing customised programmes and activities to support the requirements of multinational computer manufacturers in the region.
