Inmarsat, one of the world's leading providers of global mobile satellite communications, will focus on its BGAN X-Stream service, which was launched earlier this year.
BGAN X-Stream offers broadcasters access to the world's fastest on-demand video streaming via satellite.
The service guarantees streaming data rates from a minimum of 384kbps to around 450kbps, and was developed as an enhancement to the streaming service already offered via Inmarsat's BGAN service which enabled broadcasters to deliver news from remote locations. BGAN X-Stream will be demonstrated live at the Inmarsat stand in Zabeel Hall, stand Z-C25.
"GITEX is an important platform for Inmarsat to connect and network with its customers, partners and other organisations in the Middle East," says Samer Halawi, Vice President for Strategic Corporate Development, Inmarsat.
"It is one of the main shows where we can share our business solutions and showcase our technologies with different stakeholders. This year, GITEX is especially important to Inmarsat as it coincides with our 30th anniversary."
"Additionally, this year, we will demo our latest BGAN solution, BGAN X-Stream, to all visitors, partners, and customers. Inmarsat has been participating in GITEX for many years and this year is no exception. We are confident that the show this year will attract a high number of exhibitors and visitors and exhibitors will achieve high returns on their investments," Halawi adds.
He adds that Inmarsat's goal is to remain in the "vanguard" of mobile satellite service delivery - through a combination of extensive portfolio, global coverage and innovation.
