Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is gearing up to show off some of the best IT talent that the country has to offer.
The organisation will be hosting a delegation of 20 partners at the Egypt Pavilion, with expertise in areas ranging from digital security to human resource management software.
Visitors to the pavilion will have an opportunity to speak with representatives from ITIDA's partner companies and their UAE customers, as well as senior ITIDA executives who can discuss the IT landscape and give their analysis of Egypt's outsourcing capabilities.
ITIDA insists the size of this year's delegation highlights the strength of the country's ICT ecosystem, which has been pinpointed in recent analyst reports as the world's fastest rising IT outsourcing hotspot.
Dr Hazem Abdelazim, CEO at ITIDA, explains Egypt's strength: "Egypt's young population, sustainable and abundant talent pool of technologically skilled and multi-lingual university graduates, its geographical position close to Europe and Asia coupled with strong government support, are all factors which contribute to Egypt being an outsourcing hotspot."
Egypt's ICT sector has managed to maintain growth rates of up to 20% and attract local and foreign investments of more than US$8 billion over the past three years. Recent highlights for ITIDA include a US$10m agreement with Google, strategic collaboration with Cisco and the signing of MoUs with Oracle and the American Arab Chamber of Commerce.
