Business intelligence key to a winning IT strategy
Egyptian professional services firm ITWorx will show its latest software solutions at GITEX Technology Week
Egyptian professional services firm ITWorx will be whipping the covers off its latest software solutions as it looks to reinforce its position as one of the top business intelligence and enterprise software outfits in the region.
The company plans to give GITEX Technology Week visitors a glimpse of its Government Performance Management (GPM) solution, which is a high-end solution that allows governments to harness the power of BI and performance management, as well as showcasing its AuthorExpert product for the education sector. The desktop authoring tool is designed to help teachers create e-learning content in a short time and at a reduced cost.
With the Middle East territory now contributing more than 50% of the company's revenue, ITWorx will use GITEX to reinforce the importance of business intelligence solutions among the region's enterprises.
"ITWorx believes that spending on BI platforms will remain a priority in 2009 and 2010," says Wael Amin, President of ITWorx. "As defined by Gartner, ‘business intelligence' is an umbrella term covering applications, infrastructure, tools and best practices that enable access to, and analysis of, information to improve decisions and performance. Organisations, both public and private, are facing increased pressure to deliver actionable information that is timely and effective towards meeting goals. This requires that entities have access to the information, are able to combine, aggregate, and integrate the information, and deliver self-service access to BI for non-technical end-users when, where, and how they need it."
ITWorx has exhibited at GITEX for the past six years and in that time it claims to have seen the growing emphasis on e-government and e-learning initiatives raise the bar for world-class IT solutions in multiple industries.
"The exhibition will be a great platform to further strengthen our brand awareness in the region, as well as showcase our innovative products and solutions," says Amin. "It is also a great opportunity to emphasise ITWorx's commitment to the region and to our customers. "Over the past six years, GITEX has been instrumental for us in terms of building and maintaining key regional partnerships with technology leaders, and this has contributed directly to developments in our regional business activities and our rapid expansion."
