Dubai-based mobile phone vendor Neo has previewed its inaugural range of handsets, with an official Middle East launch slated for March. Spearheaded by the company’s 808i handset, the new range boasts a strong emphasis on aesthetic design, with Neo claiming the handsets will be some of the smallest and lightest available on the market.
Despite its relatively small size, the 808i boasts a range of impressive features including a 1.3- megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, an MP3 and MP4 player, WAP capability and a memory slot expandable to 2GB.
Each handset in the range will come with 128MB of built-in storage as stanard, while Neo will also provide a 128MB micro SD card as part of the package.
Neo also plans to launch an additional range of handsets boasting Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities in the second quarter of 2007.
”We are introducing a fresh, innovative and dynamic new brand,” said Pallav Patel, president of Neo Products. “Neo handsets have a look that will set them apart from all other mobile phones. Consumers demand handsets with the latest technology and Neo’s range will deliver on this promise.
“We don’t intend to be just another mobile phone brand that will be lost in the crowd.”
