Al Futtaim opens doors at flagship Toshiba store

IT and electronics vendor Toshiba has opened its first flagship store at the UAE’s Dubai Festival City

IT and electronics vendor Toshiba has opened its first flagship store at the UAE’s Dubai Festival City in conjunction with sole distribution partner for the UAE, Al Futtaim Electronics.

Vishesh Bhatia, group director of electronics, engineering and technologies at Al-Futtaim, said the opening of the store was the next logical step in the pair’s relationship in the Middle East that has spanned more than three decades.

“Our combined efforts in the UAE have made the brand a household name in laptop computers and office automation,” asserted Bhatia. “The flagship store at Dubai Festival City will reach out further to our customers and add good value to the country’s consumer electronics industry.”

Toshiba explains that the store will feature all of the vendor’s product range, displayed in an interactive and engaging fashion as part of what it describes as a “bespoke environment”. With Al Futtaim’s aid, the vendor will not only sell to the end-user, but also further its marketing efforts and hold events at the Festival City outlet.

“Toshiba’s affiliation with the Middle East is tried and tested. The Toshiba store opening reinforces our regional business and strengthens our market reach,” said Pieter Ickx, VP for Emerging Markets EMEA, at Toshiba. “The flagship store is a testament to Toshiba’s excellence in technology, products, systems and services,” he claimed.
