E-visa service launched for Bahrain financial sector

Central Bank of Bahrain urges all banks, exchanges and insurance firms to register

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has gone live with its new e-visa service for the Kingdom’s financial industry.

Designed to speed up the visa application process, the CBB has advised all banks, exchanges and insurance firms to register on the e-visa website – www.evisa.gov.bh – by this month to prepare for future requirements.

Once applications are submitted online, visas of successful candidates will be issued within 72 hours. Payments can be made through the website and approved visas can be printed from anywhere in the world.

All visa and company information will be stored at a secure database for the General Directorate of Nationality, Passport and Residence.

The CBB is the sole integrated regulator of Bahrain’s financial services industry.
