Public sector on agenda for new Microsoft Gulf head

New public sector director to drive strategy with governments in the GCC

Microsoft Gulf has boosted its Middle East management team with the appointment of Naim Yazbeck as public sector director.

The software vendor has brought on board Yazbeck to engage with officials in the government sector regarding IT architecture and drive the firm’s public sector strategy across the GCC region. He replaces Khalid Lootah, who has taken over as regional technology officer at the company.

“I look forward to continuing our existing partnerships and building new ones, with governments and organisations that aspire to make a positive difference in people’s lives through the use of technology,” proclaimed Yazbeck.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Yazbeck lead the enterprise sales organisation at infrastructure vendor Citrix Systems Middle East, a position he held for the last five years.

Charbel Fakhoury, general manager at Microsoft Gulf, says hiring Yazbeck will enable the vendor to further enhance and implement its public sector strategies with governments in the region. “I am confident that his skills will be vital in communicating the ongoing vision for Microsoft in the region,” concluded Fakhoury.
