Westcon expands Legrand distribution agreement
Expanded distribution agreement will give Westcon rights to Ortonics Legrand's ESTAP enclosure products
Westcon Middle East, distributor of security, convergence and mobility solutions, has been given the rights to deliver the line of ESTAP enclosure products from Ortonics Legrand. The agreement is an expansion of the pre-existing distribution contract that the pair have in place for the region.
Westcon’s network infrastructure business unit, dealing in the enclosure product line, is specialised in offering solutions for networking and data centre setups. Under the new terms of the agreement the division will be responsible for managing ESTAP’s range of enclosure solutions for LAN and WAN, telecommunications and data centres.
Steve Lockie, managing director at Westcon ME, claims that the Legrand group’s continuing confidence in the firm is testament to the focus and commitment of its specialised business units.
“Handling the ESTAP line of products for Legrand gives us the advantage of offering the comprehensive range of technical solutions in the field of equipment enclosures, state-of-the-art 19 inch racks and cabinets, indoor and outdoor telecom enclosures, sub racks and data centre solutions,” said Lockie.
Gautier Humbert, sales manager for Gulf Countries at Ortronics Legrand, credits Westcon ME’s dedicated business unit for increasing its market share in the region’s networking business. Humbert explains that Westcon has also previously worked with the Legrand cabling systems range, which he says the distributor developed to beyond expectations.
“This new arrangement not only complements our solutions but also the product offerings of Westcon ME. The synergy exists, the price is right and there is no reason that we shouldn’t be able to repeat our previous success,” concluded Humbert.
