APC raids French operation for new KSA boss
Enterprise sales chief for APC France to take on country general manager role in Saudi Arabia
Restructuring at critical power systems vendor APC has led the company to pluck an executive from its European arm to run its operation in Saudi Arabia.
Jeff de Sousa, who previously headed enterprise sales at APC France, has moved to the vendor’s Saudi subsidiary as country general manager.
APC, which is now part of Schneider Electric, says De Sousa has a long history in the enterprise sales and data centre arena, and insists he will be supported by a team “familiar” with the Saudi market.
Together with his in-country colleagues, de Sousa will be responsible for enterprise and business development in the Kingdom. The company also claims that he will lead an expansion strategy that involves the recruitment of more professionals in Saudi Arabia.
Christian Bertrand, regional director for business development and support at APC Middle East, says it is vital for the company to have an “experienced” pair of hands in charge of its most important market in the region.
“APC’s critical power and cooling expertise in Saudi Arabia will see an area of positive growth. Saudi Arabia is a very important market for us and we intend to position APC strongly in the channel and customer arena,” said Bertrand.
