Aptec is taking to the road to tout networking vendor partner 3Com’s solutions to resellers across the GCC region
Value added distributor Aptec is taking to the road to tout networking vendor partner 3Com’s solutions to resellers across the GCC region in a series of ‘switch to 3Com’ seminars.
The seminars, which are to be hosted jointly with the vendor, will highlight solutions the vendor has recently introduced to help its partners maximise customers’ ROI.
"3Com has been a valued partner for some time now and we have seen a steady growth in its value business," said Bahaa Saleh, managing director for Aptec Distribution. "This growth has been fuelled by the need for organisations in the region to leverage technology to help them maximise the use of in-house resources."
3Com has recently made changes in its product portfolio to regain the market share in the volume business as well as the enterprise segment. The vendor has brought in additional people to help provide on-the-ground support for the enterprise segment. In addition to the seminars, Aptec and 3Com plan to host several product training sessions.
Hemayun Bazaz, distribution manager at 3Com claims success in the networking industry is about customer intimacy and value chain creation. "3Com's value chain structure embraces innovative, cost-effective product design and manufacturing, in-house global service and support, and local customer intimacy with direct-touch sales for enterprises," he asserted.
The first seminar by the duo is due to be held in Dubai towards the end of the month and will share 3Com's product roadmap and the company's partner initiatives. Other countries covered by the road show will include Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia in the first quarter of 2009.
