The Middle East division of Chinese communications specialist Potevio will showcase its full range of telecommunications technologies at GULFCOMMS 2008, which range from consumable telecoms products (such as mobile GSM and CDMA handsets to SIM and scratch cards) to large scale telecoms infrastructure equipment (such as turnkey GSM and CDMA networks as well as soft switches, routers, last mile xDSL networks).
In addition, the company will profile the turnkey implementation of such networks as well as regional and long-term support of deployed infrastructures. The company's range of services include design and installation of network systems, training, and technical support.
"GULFCOMMS offers Potevio Middle East the opportunity to capitalise on the expected attendance at the show and herald the establishment of Potevio Middle East with its diverse product offering to service providers and enterprise customers in the region," says Sharique Burney, regional manager for Potevio Middle East.
"Potevio will showcase its products capabilities including its third generation network systems which were co-developed with Nokia, GSM and WCDMA base station repeaters, multi-service platform equipment, cross-connect switches, banking and security products for POS and ATM applications as well as its value added software."
Burney says Potevio plans to leverage its manufacturing and R&D capabilities to promote and incubate local engineering and technology talent and help build these capabilities locally.
