Dubai-based security solutions distributor, Emirates Photo Marketing, will demonstrate new features for access cards at GITEX Technology Week as part of its efforts to provide better security offerings to customers.

The company, whose clients include Dubai Naturalisation & Residency Department, Dubai Ports & Customs and the Jebel Ali Airport Free Zone Authority among others, will highlight the significance of UV light and face recognition applications to heighten security within organisations.

"UV light security is a new technology that enables data to be printed that is not visible unless it is viewed under UV light," explains Murendra Gupta, sales manager for EPM. "We plan to demonstrate this product to our existing customers and encourage them to upgrade their cards to include this security feature."

EPM, which is the authorised local distributor for German security firm, Digital Identification Solution (DIS), and Slovenia-based company, Spica, will also introduce a face recognition security feature at GITEX.

"Face recognition is one of the latest security technologies to hit the market. We are currently negotiating with a company in Dubai for the first installation of this solution. It's a bit more expensive than other solutions but it's also the most sophisticated security solution currently available," explains Gupta.

EPM has also been working to develop various in-house access solutions for distribution in the local market.

The company will debut a new vehicle identification solution that will enable only authorised vehicles to enter secured parking lots.

"The hardware for this solution has been sourced from a French company while we have developed the software in Dubai," explains Gupta. "We will be showcasing this solution also at GITEX."
