DWTC turns the spotlight on revamped Global Conference agenda
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has dramatically expanded the scope of this year’s GITEX Technology Week Global Conference.
Leading experts in the field of IT will speak at the conference, including Ahmad Alumulla, CIO of DUBAL, and Tariq Y Elsadik, the CIO at Abu Dhabi based business group, Al Fahim.
GITEX Technology Week Global Conferences are working with conference management partner Corporate Publishing International (CPI), one of the region’s leading publishers of IT titles and partner of IDG, the world’s largest IT publishing organisation.
It is supported by platinum sponsor Etisalat. This year’s programme boasts 35 sessions in total and is supported by Platinum Sponsor, Etisalat and Session Sponsor, Microsoft. Key areas of discussion are expected to include the role of technology in the region’s dynamic real estate sector, the need for enhanced smart communications devices, as well as the opportunities for new revenue models for telecom players.
“Because of the critical mass of regional and international executives attending GITEX, the conference has evolved into a major forum for direct discussion between technology developers and end users,” explains Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, of Dubai World Trade Centre. “We have invested significantly in expanding the conference this year, to enable the widest possible discussion around the needs of the region.”
For the first time, the conference will host a special Developers Day, a forum for examining the latest development tools and environments. The sessions will include contributions on Microsoft technologies, Oracle tools, Open Source and Java. In addition, a series of sessions will focus on the potential for collaboration across the fields of security, certification and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) creation and management.
