HP retailers get local funding support

Open Force financial support scheme rolls out after trial in the region

HP Middle East has launched a new financial support initiative called ‘Open Force’ for its retailers.

Open Force offers financial aid to large and medium HP retailers to increase their sales force and profit margins, and to support them in their efforts to enter new territories.

The scheme underwent a global trial, with 25 people in the UAE and Saudi Arabia taking part over the past twelve months. Based on the results, HP will now expand the program geographically and increase the number of recruits in the region.

The increasing skills shortage being experienced in the technology sector will also be addressed as HP plans to fund recruitment of sales managers, salary payments and other necessary support.

Gigi George, a business unit head at Alpha Data, who took part in the trial said: “The initiative has improved our open space by up to 50 per cent and helped us have a more focused approach in the market place. We have received a great amount of support from HP which has provided us with the opportunity to improve our skills sets including sales and customer relations.”
