Belkin to ignite Middle East partner push
Belkin has revealed that is about to launch a major hunt for partners across the region
Peripherals vendor Belkin has revealed that is about to launch a major hunt for partners in the markets across the region that it has yet to occupy.
In-country distributors will be the major focus of Belkin’s partner surge, according to Patrick Hayati, the company’s recently appointed regional director for the Middle East and Africa.
“We are looking to expand our distributor bases in places like Egypt, North Africa, Bahrain and Oman, the types of markets where we feel we are under represented,” said Hayati.
Until now, Belkin has focused a great of its work on the UAE and the surrounding markets but the vendor intends to change this. “At the moment most of our activities are concentrated in Dubai and it is from here that we are servicing countries across the region. We have partners in some of the markets, but not enough, so we are going to be developing our partner network’s breadth,” added Hayati.
Belkin claims that it is among one of the few high-end, value brands in the peripherals space and as such wants to establish alliances with in-country distributors that fully comprehend its product positioning and are able promote its IT accessories in the appropriate fashion.
