German Gulf Enterprises selects Oracle
Construction machinery importer to deploy Oracle E-Business suite to manage booming business
UAE-based importer German Gulf Enterprises (GGE) has chosen Oracle E-Business suite to manage its finances, purchasing, HR and asset management.
GGE imports concrete and other mortar pumps, as well as plaster machines into the UAE and has selected Oracle to help with "its rapid growth and aggressive expansion strategy".
"Given the current construction boom our industry is experiencing, there is now tremendous potential to rapidly grow the business across the Middle East region to take advantage of this period of high liquidity being experienced by the major GCC countries," said Richard Eller, CEO of German Gulf Enterprises.
"However, we need strict controls, greater transparency and rapid timely management information, which the Oracle E-Business Suite is set to help us achieve," he added.
GGE's management has also chosen its implementation partner for the project, Intelligent Corporate Solutions (ICS), which is based in the UAE.
"Increasingly, companies in the Middle East are realising that the software underpinning their business can have a major impact on their ability to grow and take advantage of the many opportunities that are now present in the region. Without timely, accurate management information, an organisation's ability to respond to market changes is diminished and its competitive advantage is eroded.
The decision made by German Gulf to implement Oracle E-Business will no doubt ensure they remain one of the most successful companies in their industry and add further value to their already solid competitive advantage," said Shumon Zaman, CEO of ICS.
