HP provides telecom consulting services
Solutions Consulting Services (SCS) created by HP will help communication companies align business and technology effectively
HP has created Solutions Consulting Services (SCS), a comprehensive service, to enhance the competitiveness of communications companies. HP will provide SCS through telecom professionals in its consulting and integration business.
By translating business needs into solutions that can be put into action, SCS will help companies adapt to the convergence of telecommunications, information technology and entertainment.
It will not only help identify new revenue opportunities and enhance customer service, but will also improve operational efficiency and manage risks.
A set of assets called HP COSMOS, which includes intellectual property, methodologies, processes and best practices, are used by SCS to help companies reexamine their business strategies, services and systems to introduce positive change.
Once business transformation strategies are clearly defined, HP works with service providers to create a new organizational and operational environment with the right technology solutions.
"Working with HP SCS, service providers have achieved measurable revenue gains and operational efficiencies as well as the ability to deliver a better customer experience," said Sebastiano Tevarotto, vice president and general manager, Communications, Media and Entertainment, HP.
"The key to success has been HP's core competence across the three converging industries of telecom, IT and entertainment."
HP is among the world's largest IT companies, with revenue totaling $110.4 billion for the four fiscal quarters which ended on April 30, 2008.
