New Cyberoam channel boss to spearhead channel expansion

Surender Bishoi appointed head of channel sales for Cyberoam in the region.

Network security specialist Cyberoam has appointed Surender Bishnoi as head of channel sales for the region as it steps up its efforts in the Middle East.

Bishnoi has extensive sales experience working for value added resellers and distributors in the Middle East networking industry such as FVC and according to Cyberoam will be responsible for managing and strengthening the firm's distribution network and systems integrator partner base.

"We are confident that Surender, who has great experience of working with a distributor in the past, will be able to help us recruit more VARs to cater to the SMB business and more systems integrators targeting the large enterprises," said Hemal Patel, CEO of Cyberoam.

As Cyberoam establishes its regional company infrastructure - which it reveals will eventually include an office, further investment in staff and a distribution hub all to be based in the UAE - Bishnoi will be the company's sole channel liaison and will be tasked with overseeing all of the company's expansion plans in the Middle East.

"The enterprise organisations in the region have become increasingly aware of the current security challenges and the need to protect their infrastructure against malicious threats and attacks. This represents strong business opportunity for Cyberoam," said Bishnoi.
