BakBone Software updates NetVault Report Manager to add advanced monitoring and reporting capabilities

BakBone Software, a provider of heterogeneous integrated data protection solutions, has launched NetVault Report Manager Pro, an update to BakBone's NetVault Report Manager solution. The new version provides detailed back-up log reports and advanced search capabilities, along with extensive monitoring and reporting of back-up and disk space.

According to BakBone the updated capabilities are easy to use and can help keep storage costs to a minimum by providing immediate access to any level of detail required to manage data protection environments. The product is tightly integrated with BakBone's flagship data protection solution NetVault Back-up, offering a single view into storage operations, which can significantly reduce back-up administration time for enterprises.

The San Diego based firm notes that the software decreases back-up administration time as well as monitors the relevant back-up tapes and drives. When it comes to disk space the product is also able to identify unneeded and unprotected data, reclaimable disk space as well as duplicate files which enable more efficient use of storage resources.
