Limitless appoints new CIO

Paul Brindley joins Dubai World property developer Limitless

UAE property developer Limitless has appointed Paul Brindley as its new CIO, where he will be handling a multi-million dollar IT budget, according to the company.

"My new role at Limitless is completely unique. My task is to create an innovative, distinctive and unrivalled IT department that benefits all Limitless stakeholders: our parent company, Dubai World, our partners, our staff and the people who will live and work in our developments," said Brindley.

Before moving to Limitless Brindley was IT director at Cadbury Schweppes in London, where his projects included a $800 million ERP deployment and an IT restructuring programme. Brindley's career in IT stretches over 20 years, and includes employment in Australia, the US, Europe, South Africa and Asia, and stints at companies including BHP Billiton, Atos Origin and Shell.

Limitless is a division of Dubai World established in 2005; it is currently working on projects around the world, including Russia, Jordan, Malaysia and India. It is also the master developer on the recently-announced Arabian Canal project in Dubai, a 75km artificial waterway which broke ground in December 2007, and Al Wasl near the Saudi capital Riyadh, a $12 billion residential development.
