Yemen LNG secures its IT networks

Yemeni gas company invests in new antivirus systems with added threat detection.

The Yemen LNG Company has installed new antivirus protection measures for its computers and network systems.

The company is using ESET NOD32 Antivirus from ADAOX Middle East, which the manufacturer claims is the 'fastest and lightest antivirus available'.

"We had read a lot of positive reviews about ESET NOD32 in magazines and IT websites before deciding to implement it," said Ron Breakwell, Information Systems and Telecoms manager of Yemen LNG. "ESET NOD32 is an efficient antivirus and we believe it will be an effective tool to safeguard our IT network with its innovative threat detection technology. ESET NOD32 compared to other antivirus products, is less CPU intensive when executing a background scan and is more efficient in detecting threats."

Yemen LNG now centrally manages the ESET NOD32 software, which automatically updates end-user devices and offers protection against new forms of malware before impacting the network. The supply of ESET NOD32 at Yemen LNG was carried out by Smartnet.

"Yemen LNG evaluated a number of security solutions and found ESET NOD32 to be a perfect fit for their requirements," said Khaled Shamsan of Smartnet. "We are thrilled that ESET NOD32 is in great demand with our customers in this region. More companies are now recognising the fact that installing any antivirus product is not enough, they need products such as ESET NOD32 which provides them proactive threat detection technology and does not consume significant computing resources."

"ESET NOD32 is favored by many leading companies in the region as the antivirus product of choice. This is because other competing products are more demanding in terms of CPU resources and are also relatively slower in scanning," said Neo Neophytou, managing director of ADAOX Middle East. "We are quite confident that Yemen LNG will reap the many rewards of deploying ESET NOD32, including time and cost benefits."
