Kuwait MoHE selects Mitel for telephony

Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education to roll out Mitel IP communications network at headquarters

The Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education has selected Mitel for its IP communications network at its headquarters.

The network will connect over 500 staff at the headquarters and staff working in the field. Mitel's 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) MXe, an enterprise IP-PBX, will sit at the centre of the deployment with Mitel 5330 and 5340 IP web phones at the desktop.

The deployment will also include a number of Mitel applications, including softphones, Your Assistant collaboration suite and Teleworker solution to connect staff working remotely.

Tareq A Almarzouq of the IT Department, Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education said: "The Mitel IP telephony solution has provided MoHE with a flexible, future proofed foundation to develop enhanced applications to evolve with our business and its continuing needs. The next step will be to look at the IVR and Call Centre solutions to improve call handling and further increase customer satisfaction."

Mitel Gold Solution Provider S Fahad Al Bahar Sons Trading Co. (FBS), will implement the project.
