LCD TV sales growing in region says BenQ

BenQ reports strong growth in LCD TV sales in Gulf markets

BenQ is reporting strong growth in sales of LCD TVs in the region.

The company claims growth of 125% in Qatar, 100% in Bahrain and Oman and 25% in Kuwait.

BenQ is now targeting revenue of $100 million in Q4. In October, it launched its first range of full HD LCD TVs in the Middle East.

Manish Bakshi, general manager, BenQ Middle East & Africa, commented: "Consumers are increasingly becoming technology-savvy and design-conscious and this has led to a surge of demand for digital lifestyle devices such as our high-end LCD TVs. Our new 37-inch and 42-inch SH series models will provide businesses and home-users with virtual surround sound and a cinema-style picture for ultimate viewing experience."
