Edutech completes e-learning deployment for Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University
Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University in Khobar a new, privately-run university in Khobar, is offering students a complete e-learning environment following the deployment of a range of solutions by Edutech
The university, which is offering courses in engineering, IT and business, has rolled out Blackboard Academic Suite, a leading set of e-learning solutions, along with Smartboard interactive whiteboards and IP-enabled language labs with touchscreen controls.
Dr Nassar M Shaikh, vice rector, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, said: "The Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University aspires to be one of the leading contributors to the Kingdom's development, by ensuring that our students possess the right set of competencies and technical knowledge to face the country's development challenges. With this in mind, we have partnered with Edutech to design a comprehensive customised learning system, which will complement our academic program. We are positive that the highly effective technologies that Edutech has provided us will largely aid PMU in producing professionals, who will comprise the region's future leaders in different sectors of society."
Edutech conducted a pilot with students and faculty before the main deployment, to ensure that it would fit the needs of both.
