GPN strengthens UAE channel
Green Packet Networks meets growing demand for broadband wireless solutions through partnership with Seven Seas
Broadband wireless technology provider Green Packet Networks has moved to address the growing demand for next generation network (NGN) solutions in the UAE by striking a partnership with corporate reseller Seven Seas.
As an authorised GPN partner, Seven Seas will be able to deploy the vendor's next generation network solutions and distribute the products in the UAE. The company is also permitted to bundle the GPN solutions with its own offerings for distribution in the market.
"Through this partnership, Seven Seas will be able to fill an existing market demand for NGN solutions via our wide range of offerings based on GPN's unique Self Organising Network (SON) and Opportunity Driven Multiple Access (ODMA) technology," said Ali Al Mashat, chairman at Green Packet Networks. "On the other hand, with its extensive consumer base in the UAE, Seven Seas will further extend GPN's market coverage in the different emirates, improving our position as the leading provider of NGN wireless solutions."
GPN and Seven Seas intend to focus their marketing efforts on telecommunications firms, systems integrators and solutions providers. The collaboration is in line with GPN's partner programme, which recently welcomed Trapeze Networks, Etisalcom and Saudi duo NESMA and Semanoor as new members.
"As one of the biggest solutions providers in the UAE, Seven Seas brings to the partnership a customer portfolio that includes A-class enterprises in the UAE," continued Al Mashat. "As such, GPN will roll out its class-leading wired and wireless solutions to satisfy the high-end networking requirements of these prominent clients."
Bahrain-based GPN was inaugurated in February this year following a joint venture between Malaysia-based Green Packet Berhad and Saudi investment company SEDCO.
